I'm being a little bit crazy about getting the nursery ready for Baby Fisher. I love decorating and being creative, so I really do enjoy working on this project. My two main problems are that I have a vision in my head and I get frustrated when I can't find or afford the items to make my vision become a reality and that I want things done now. I'm also a big bargain hunter and hate spending a large chunk of money on anything. I don't mind using a little elbow grease and doing things myself if I can save some money (which Andrew thinks is a very attractive quality in me), it just usually means that it takes longer to get things done. Andrew has been a huge help with getting the walls and dresser painted and they look fantastic. We ordered an upholstered glider/rocker/recliner chair that should be here in a few weeks, and I'm really excited about that. I obsessed over curtains for awhile and ended up with just going with plain white after buying and returning a few colors and lengths. For some reason, I just keep finding more and more things to think about and try to make decisions on. I know its just because I have the time to run from store to store and browse online for exactly what I want. Although it seems like I'm stressing out about getting everything ready for Baby Fisher, I'm really not stressed about it. We have pretty much everything we need for him hanging out in the guest room, now its just a matter of getting the nursery ready to move stuff in, get it cleaned and organized, and decorated.

New to the Blog World
I thought I would set up a blog before Baby Fisher comes so that I can hopefully keep family and friends updated on what is going on with our growing family all the way out here in Altoona, PA. We'll see how well I keep up with it, but I figured it would be a good way to share updates, pictures, and stories with all of you as well as keeping a bit of a record of this exciting time in our lives.
I can't believe that Baby Fisher will be here in approximately 10 weeks! I alternate between thinking that time flies and that I feel like I've been pregnant forever. I found out I was pregnant on July 18, 2011 which was the day after we returned from our annual vacation in Emerald Isle, NC. We had just decided during a walk on the beach that we were ready for a baby and were absolutely shocked to find out that I was already pregnant when we got home. The beginning part of pregnancy was not fun for me at all, I was getting sick regularly until 21 weeks or so and had absolutely no energy. We were thrilled to find out on Nov. 9, 2011 that Baby Fisher is a boy. I finally started feeling better and the last few months we have been busily getting things ready for Baby Fisher's arrival.
Here are a few pictures of the past few months:
